Spring Concert Success
The band's "Top of the POPS" Concert at Christchurch on Sat 18th May went down well with an appreciative audience.
Musical Director Ian Graves' program was greeted enthusiacally by young and old alike. There were fine solo performances by Steve Joy on Flugel and guest Euphonium player Jonny Spoule.
The band would like to thank everyone involved : players , helpers and the audience for making a very enjoyable musical evening possible.

First (& Coldest!) gig of the year
The early May bank holiday weekend saw the band entertaining crowds of gardening enthusiasts at Knebworth House. On what must have been two of the coldest May days in living memory, we played a wide selection of music in between breaks for much-needed hot drinks. In spite of the arctic temperatures, we seemed to go down well with the green-fingered punters, and we hope to have the opportunity to do so again next year. In which case, we will be taking no chances on the weather, and wrapping up as if we were carol singing in the snow!
