Mike started playing the trombone aged 12 (when his arms were long enough to use the slide!) and taught himself. Since then he has become the UK's leading session trombonist having recorded albums with the likes of Jools Holland, Robbie Williams, Gary Barlow, and most recently Darius. He's also recorded with the BBC Radio Orchestra, the Birmingham Royal Ballet and the Glenn Miller Orchestra.

Mike also has numerous TV credits to his name, appearing on shows as diverse as TFI Friday, A Song for Europe, GM TV and even the Budweiser adverts.

Mike has now reached the pinnacle of his playing career by joining Watford Band on solo trombone where he brings his enormous talent, not only as a trombone player, but as a very experienced musician at the very highest level to the band.
