Watford Band

Watford Band competed at the recent National Area Championship and finished a credible 6th place out of 14 bands.

This is the highest position the band has achieved in its 120 year history and in this achievement they managed to beat their local rivals Hitchin and Hemel Hempstead. It was a particularly good result as the band lost one of their trombone section some 6 weeks before the contest

This result ensures Watford will still be playing in the third tier of the Brass Band world in 2012.

The band's musical director thanked the band for all their hard work at rehearsals in achieving sixth position.
